Dr Rachael van der Griend is bipartisan, having trained in both New Zealand and Australia. After an initial misguided career in surgery she switched to Pathology, and gained her FRCPA in 2009. She is now lead gynae pathologist at Canterbury Health Labs in Christchurch, New Zealand. Rachael is a member of the New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Group (NZGCG) and several gynaepathology societies including ISGyP and IGCS.
